The gate at Clos ChaVelle sits about five miles west of downtown Chelan, off Highway 97A, with roughly 66 homesites arranged above the vineyard and Bear Mountain Ranch a mile up the road. Set in the foothills above Lake Chelan on a 350-acre layout with 700 feet of elevation change, it was named one of the top six new courses in the U.S. by PGA Professionals when it opened in 2005, and the signature par-3 7th plays 233 yards with a pond fronting the green and the lake stretching out behind it.
